This next pattern was started as a four inch square. Using the Rectangular Marquee Tool, I selected the upper left quadrant and drew a pattern in it. I did this freehand with the Brush Tool. I copied and pasted it and flipped it horizontally to fill the upper half of the square. I then copied the upper half, pasted and flipped vertically till I had the entire square filled with my original quarter block pattern. (Again, refer back to my detailed instructions for Pattern 81 which I posted on Sunday, May 3rd.) The saved pattern repeats four times in my eight inch square that you see in my second image below.
