Here is the second of my mini 'Venice' pictures. This one is also 5 inches by 7 inches. These were fun to make. I edited my photos by applying painterly effects and printed them to fabric along with other images on a yard of Spoonflower fabric.
Here is the second of my mini 'Venice' pictures. This one is also 5 inches by 7 inches. These were fun to make. I edited my photos by applying painterly effects and printed them to fabric along with other images on a yard of Spoonflower fabric.
I free motion stitch with black thread to outline the buildings,
people, and gondolas. I use a pale blue
thread for the sky, and I use multiple colors of rayon embroidery threads to
stitch the water. I like the shiny
threads for the water as they give it a more reflective appearance.
