Earlier this year I started another 'Painted Bird' series using some of the patterns I created. I completed seven of them and you can find them posted here starting with my Monday, May 25th post.
Later in the spring my daughter and I took a cruise through the Mediterranean
and took lots of photos. I was focusing
on buildings and street scenes to use for my art quilts since I really like the
Venice pieces I did last year. Here is
the first piece I made from a close up shot near the top of the Leaning Tower
of Pisa. I edited and cropped the
original photo in Photoshop Elements and enhanced the colors some. I then printed it to fabric and free motion
