Moving on to my last color class piece
for 2011, the eighth for the class, I started using more than just my
kaleidoscope program on the computer.
On this one, I started using my scrapbook program to design the
composition. You can save your
kaleidoscopes as jpg files and then import them into the scrapbook program to
do the layout. After designing the
layout, I then recreated it in fabric using the kaleidoscopes that I printed
and appliquéd on top. The color concept
for this piece is luminosity, meaning that the artwork appears to emit
light. I chose these particular
kaleidoscopes because of the bright yellow and orange coloring in the centers.
