My next four patterns are going to start with my Pattern 135. For each one of these I simply used the Paint Bucket tool to fill in the blue background with another pattern. In order for this to repeat correctly, the filled in background pattern must be the same size pattern as my Pattern 135. After filling in the background of this one, I altered the colors of the overall pattern using the Hue/Saturation dialog box. Each of these next patterns are going to look very different from the previous ones even though they all will start with the same design. This type of pattern combining works well when you start with a pattern that has a definite solid 'background' area.
