I have some more pieces from my new 'Painted Bird' series that I will be showing you soon. Before I finished those, I created a piece that I wanted to donate to the SAQA Benefit Auction. The size requirement on the pieces to be donated is 12" x 12 ". I designed another one similar to my last piece using the same bird drawing, but I changed the colors and patterns that I filled it with. I made it as large as I could and still fit it on an 8 1/2" x 11" fabric sheet so I could print it on my home printer. I used a different batik fabric and designed a different background pattern that I painted before stitching the bird on top. You can see this piece online on the SAQA Benefit Auction.
