Here is a kaleidoscope that is actually a combination of two kaleidoscopes. One was a simple black and white kaleidoscope. I selected the white part using the magic wand tool in Photoshop Elements and deleted that leaving only the black part. I then added the black part as a new layer on top of another kaleidoscope. I merged the two layers and then reduced the kaleidoscope to a 2 inch square and saved it as a pattern. The second image below is the pattern filled into an 8 inch square.
